Paphos police arrested a 24-year-old yesterday evening for driving at more than double the speed limit, 121km/h on a 50km/h road.
The driver was caught committing the offence at approximately 9:45pm.
The 24-year-old was taken to the Paphos Traffic Police station where he was charged in writing, before being released to later appear before a court.
According to an official police announcement: “Excessive speeding while driving is always dangerous.
