The Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC) participated in the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) first Board of Directors meeting for 2018, which took place in Athens on January 31 – February 1.
CSC President Themis Papadopoulos and Director General Thomas Kazakos represented the Cyprus Shipping Industry in the meeting.
According to a CSC press release, the main topics of the ECSA’s Board meeting was to map the strategy of the European Shipowners Association, as well as to define ECSA’s vision, mission and objectives until 2024.
The board also discussed the consequences of a number of important shipping related developments affecting ECSA’s strategy. Core items on the strategy identified included the further focus on shipowning matters, European shipping competitiveness and the relations between ECSA members.
