Cyprus sends condolences to Russian FM regarding the death of 71 persons in an air crash outside Moscow

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus extends its deepest condolences to the people and the government of the Russian Federation over the tragic crash of the An-148 passenger plane, which happened in the greater Moscow area.

In a statement, the FM said “Cyprus expresses its solidarity and sympathy to the families of the victims at these difficult moments.”

The AN-148 plane operated by Saratov Airlines crashed outside Moscow shortly after taking off for the city of Orsk about 1,500 km southeast of the capital. All 71 people on board were killed.
