EU Foreign Ministers to discuss security and stability in Europe and the Middle East

EU Foreign Ministers will discuss inter alia issues concerning security and stability in Europe and the Middle East during their Informal Meeting (Gymnich) that will take place in Sofia on February 15 and 16. Cyprus will be represented by Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides.

Discussions on these issues will take place on Friday morning. Foreign Minsters of candidate states for EU membership, including Turkey, have been invited to attend this session.

According to a PIO press release, the EU Foreign Ministers` agenda also includes discussions on Syria, Western Balkans and the Korean Peninsula.

Kasoulides leaves for Sofia Wednesday.
