Benjamin Kololli enjoyed the high of netting his side’s winning goal before suffering the most dramatic of falls during FC Zurich’s 1-0 win over AEK Larnaca in the Europa League.
The midfielder converted a penalty before sprinting over to celebrate with the away fans, but misjudged the gap between barriers and disappeared from sight.
Immediately his team-mates rushed over, before pulling him unharmed from the concrete well separating fans and players.

The incident took place at AEK Arena – Georgios Karapatakis, explaining why the Kosovo international was unfamiliar with the layout.
Having scored the penalty in the 61st minute, the player was able to continue the match and contributed to hard-fought away win.
Fans reacted to the incredible incident on Twitter, with one joking: ‘Legend has it he’s still falling,’ while another dubbed him a ‘Falling angel’.
Some English fans were also reminded of a similar fall suffered by Nathan Ake while playing for Watford.
The Dutch defender took a tumble while chasing after a ball against Bournemouth and also ended up disappearing in heart-stopping fashion.

Zurich also survived the sending off of Pa Modou Jagne in the 84th minute to go second in Group A.
They are now level on points and goal difference with Bayer Leverkusen.
The German side also recorded an away victory, beating Ludogorets 3-2 thanks to a Kai Havertz double and Isaac Thelin’s strike.
