Cyprus Energy Minister Yiorgos Lakkotrypis is set to address the Economist Conference, in Athens, on the importance of the Greece – Cyprus energy pact in the new geopolitical landscape.
Lakkotrypis departs for Athens tonight, where tomorrow he will be one of the keynote speakers of the conference entitled “21st Economist Roundtable with the Government of Greece,” a public and information office press release issued here today says.
In particular, the press release adds, Lakkotrypis “will deliver a speech in the morning on the thematic `Security challenges in the region: How important is the Greece-Cyprus energy pact in the new geopolitical landscape?`”
It is further noted that he will also take part in the discussion which will follow.
Greek Minister of Environment and Energy Giorgos Stathakis will also be a keynote speaker on the same topic.
Lakkotrypis returns to Cyprus, on Friday.
