The Turkish proposal does not satisfy us at all, Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades said in statements he made while leaving the venue where the Conference on Cyprus takes place in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
Moreover he noted that three questions were put forward by the UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, adding that “we will respond to them tomorrow”.
Responding to a question, Anastasiades said that “the questions concern alternative proposals on the guarantees.”
“As concerns the Turkish proposal what I have to say is that it does not satisfy us at all,” he noted.
The Conference on Cyprus reconvened on Wednesday in an attempt to push the peace process forward and help find a negotiated settlement to reunite Cyprus, divided since the 1974 Turkish invasion.
